The Thekla Knit Collection: Stripes, Structure & Scandinavian Simplicity

The Thekla Knit Collection: Stripes, Structure & Scandinavian Simplicity

Thekla isn’t just inspired by the name of a street near the Hobbii HQ, it’s also the name of a new collection that celebrates stripes, structure, and Scandinavian style.

Designed for Copenhagen Fibers, Thekla brings clean minimalism and playful details into modern knitwear. These are patterns that spark inspiration and build confidence, turning beautiful yarn into pieces you’ll be proud to wear – and can’t wait to share.

Stripes with a Modern Nordic Edge

Stripes are timeless. They’re classic, versatile, and always chic. But in the Thekla Collection, stripes get a modern update: Bold ribbing, clever constructions, and color combinations that turn everyday staples into statement pieces. The beauty of these designs lies in their simplicity – they’re easy to wear, fun to knit, and designed to stand out.

The Thekla Patterns

The Thekla Collection brings stripes and structure to life through four modern designs, each with its own unique details, color play, and Nordic edge.

Woman wearing the striped green Thekla Polo knitted in Copenhagen Fibers Merino Light, standing outdoors in a field.

The Thekla Polo

The Thekla Polo is worked top down in reverse stockinette with neat stripes, raglan shaping, and thoughtful finishing details like a stand collar, a double-knit collar band and clean reversible button bands.

The construction is as smart as the design itself – the body is knit in stockinette and then turned inside out, so the wrong side stripes take center stage. It’s modern, stylish, and endlessly wearable.

Thekla Scarf, a long striped design knitted in Copenhagen Fibers Merino, shown in two versions: brown and cream, and blue and white, worn by two women outdoors.

The Thekla Scarf

Simple, striking, and endlessly wearable. The Thekla Scarf is worked in 6x6 rib with slim stripes, framed by neat 2x2 rib edges. Increases and decreases at each end give it a polished finish, and blocking reveals the beautiful rib texture.

This is the kind of project that’s soothing to knit but looks like so much more – the perfect everyday scarf with a modern edge.

Thekla Sweater, a striped rib-knit design in Copenhagen Fibers Merino, featuring bold two-color contrasts with a modern Nordic look.

The Thekla Sweater

Oversized and relaxed, the Thekla Sweater is a true wardrobe staple. It’s knitted top-down worked in 6x6 rib with slim stripes and framed by neat 2x2 rib edges. The sweater features clever shoulder shaping and a fit that feels both comfortable and contemporary.

This is the kind of sweater you’ll live in – easy to style, timeless, and with just the right amount of attitude.

Thekla Hat in striped rib design, knitted in Copenhagen Fibers Merino, shown in brown-and-cream and blue-and-white versions, worn by two women outdoors.

The Thekla Hat

Quick, playful, and perfect for experimenting with color. The Thekla Hat is a fun project that works beautifully on its own – or as a matching piece to the scarf or sweater. Either way, it’s a striped essential you’ll reach for all season.

The Yarn Behind Thekla

All four designs are knitted in Copenhagen Fibers Merino and Copenhagen Fibers Merino Light – pure wool qualities with natural softness, structure, and stitch definition. Both yarns are 100% mulesing-free and OEKO-TEX® certified, so you can enjoy their comfort and clarity of stitch with peace of mind.

The fibers highlight the clean lines of the ribbing and give the stripes the clean contrast they deserve. And with a wide palette ranging from soft neutrals to bold brights, there’s room to play, whether you want understated elegance or a pop of color.

How to Choose the Perfect Stripe Colors

The magic of Thekla lies in the contrast. It’s the difference between your two shades that makes the stripes crisp and eye-catching. To get it right, pick colors with enough contrast to stand out. A simple trick is to snap a photo of your skeins on your phone and switch it to black and white – if the contrast is still clear, you’ve got a perfect pairing.
